This Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into as of the effective date of the 1st day of January, 2021 (the “Effective Date”) by and between the law enforcement agencies and the governing bodies within the United States of America, hereinafter referred to as “Parties.”
For the purposes of this Agreement, the following terms shall have the meanings specified below:
“Diversity in Law Enforcement Statistics” shall refer to the collection, analysis, and reporting of demographic and employment data of law enforcement personnel, including but not limited to race, gender, age, and rank.
The Parties hereby agree to collaborate and cooperate in the collection and reporting of Diversity in Law Enforcement Statistics for the year 2021 in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and best practices.
The Parties agree undertake following Obligations and Responsibilities:
The Parties acknowledge and agree that the collection and reporting of Diversity in Law Enforcement Statistics may involve the handling of sensitive and confidential information. Therefore, the Parties shall take all necessary measures to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the collected data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
This Agreement shall remain in effect for the calendar year 2021, unless earlier terminated by mutual agreement of the Parties or in accordance with applicable law.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding and agreement between the Parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether oral or written.
This Agreement may be executed in any number of counterparts, each of which shall be deemed an original, but all of which together shall constitute one and the same instrument.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the Parties hereto and their respective successors and permitted assigns.
